The New Fix formed in Phoenix, Arizona, 2003 as a four-year love affair with the raw intensity of punk and other rock & roll sub-genres. Singing along side co-founder Anthony Maniscalco, the act was Ordovich’s first foray into the art of singing. The New Fix had several line-ups between ’04 and ’05 and finally disbanded in ’06 following disagreements in artistic direction.
THE NEW FIX | DAYS OF ROCK & ROLL 2003-2006
During the complex political climate of the mid 2000s, Dakota Jeane and Orovich formed the protest-driven folk duo, Dakota & the Black River Bandit, touring the Southwestern United States in 2007 and joining the Dennis Kucinich campaign in New Hampshire, 2008. The group disbanded later that year after the release of their boisterous debut record, Reagan Lives!
